3rd i's Film Festival , in collaboration with the French Consulate, is proud to host acclaimed French-Sri Lankan filmmaker Lawrence Valin for a special screening of his film Little Jaffna at the Roxie Theater on the evening of October 10th. Following the screening, Professor Debarati Sanyal of the UC Berkeley French Department will moderate a Q&A session with the director.

The countdown has begun — in just a few short weeks, the Alliance Française de San Francisco will present an unforgettable evening of theatre with Richard, a strikingly original adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard III, brought to life by acclaimed French artist Antony De Azevedo.

Mark your calendars: this one-night-only performance takes place Thursday, September 18, 2025.

A French classic from the region of Lorraine. Originally from northeastern France, Quiche Lorraine is a savory pie traditionally made with eggs, cream, and smoked bacon.
