Café "Rencontre": Meet Jewelry Designer Duygu Sumbul- May 29, 2026

Join us on Thursday, May 29 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a special Café Rencontre featuring Duygu Sumbul, founder and designer of Four One Seven, a San Francisco–based luxury jewelry brand.

Born in Istanbul, Duygu Sumbul spent several years living in Brussels and Paris before settling in San Francisco. Her connection to the French language and culture began at an early age and continued throughout her education at Galatasaray High School and Galatasaray University in Istanbul, two institutions deeply rooted in the French educational tradition. She later pursued a Master’s degree in Innovation Management at Université Paris Dauphine in Paris and began her career at L’Oréal in the luxury beauty industry.

Today, her work reflects a unique blend of Mediterranean heritage, French artistic sensibility, and inspirations drawn from Hellenistic, Roman, and Mesopotamian antiquity. Through Four One Seven, she creates modern heirlooms handcrafted in collaboration with master goldsmiths using luminous 22k gold.

Deeply influenced by French culture’s appreciation for craftsmanship, aesthetics, and thoughtful creativity, Duygu brings a refined and timeless vision to each of her creations.

This intimate Café Rencontre is a unique opportunity to meet Duygu Sumbul and discover the story behind Four One Seven.
