✈️ French Immersion Trip to Normandy

Experience Normandy through language, culture, art, and history on this immersive eight-day stay designed for Alliance Française San Francisco participants. Based primarily in Rouen, the program combines morning French classes with curated cultural experiences, including:
- a guided visit of Rouen,
- a pastry workshop with a French chef,
- an introduction to painting with a local artist,
- an excursion to Giverny to discover Claude Monet’s house and gardens,
- a week end trip to Mont Saint Michel and Caen
The journey concludes with two exceptional days exploring some of Normandy’s most iconic sites, from Mont Saint-Michel and its abbey to the Caen Memorial and the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. With 2 different choices of accommodation, shared dinners, and a carefully balanced schedule, this séjour offers a rich and memorable way to improve your French while discovering the heritage, beauty, and history of Normandy.
Throughout the journey, participants will be accompanied by the wonderful Cindy Beziat, whose warmth, and enthusiasm will help make the
experience both smooth and memorable. Her presence will provide a welcoming sense of continuity and support throughout the program, from
language learning to cultural discovery.

- 6 nights hotel accommodation in Rouen from Sept 27 to Oct 3
- 1 night hotel accommodation in Caen on Oct 3,
- Breakfast only included at the hotel and not at the residence
- French language classes (weekday mornings)
- Cultural visits and guided activities in Normandy
❌ Not Included
- International airfare, we recommend booking through our trusted partner, Calparrio Travel Agency, who can also arrange additional stop over or accommodation.
- Dinners, but most restaurants will be booked in advance by Cindy so you can simply relax and enjoy.
- Lunches
- Transportation from Paris to Rouen (recommendation: BablaBus or Flixbux direct from the airport to Rouen, duration 2h30 to 3h depending on the airport). There is also a direct train from Paris Gare Saint Lazare but you will need to transfer.
- Transportation Caen to Paris (Recommendation : direct train at 6 pm to Paris, duration 2h)
- Night of October 4th, which you can either spend in Caen or Paris.
- Public transportation in Normandy

Terms, Conditions and Cancellation policy
Responsibility:
Alliance Francaise San Francisco (AFSF) and the Organizers act only as a provider with respect to travel and shall, under no
circumstances, be held responsible for injury, damage, loss, accident, delays, or any unpredictable event whatsoever.
Therefore, no refund or compensation will be made by AFSF or the Organizers for any damage incurred by the participant.
Participants are required to purchase their own travel insurance with emergency and medical coverage. Our partner travel agency Calparrio can help participants purchase one. Purchase must be made before departure.
Important Policies
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.

We are unable to offer refunds for any reason after July 24, 2026. Therefore, we highly recommend that
you purchase travel insurance within 14 days of making your deposit. See above for our recommendations for insurance.

All travelers must have a valid passport that is valid for at least six months after the return date.

Participants should be in good health and capable of taking part in the scheduled activities. Participation in activities is optional;
however, no price adjustments will be made for skipped activities.
- L'Alliance Française de San Francisco and Alliance Française Normandie reserve the right to make adjustments to the itinerary as needed.
Reservations and Cancellations
Registration form and non refundable deposit must be received at the time of registration.
As space is limited, reservations will be honored in the order received.
Full trip payment must be completed by August 15, 2026.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Cindy Beziat – AFSF Events and Communication Coordinator at cindy@afsf.com
with cc to angela@afsf.com.
Cancellations received after July 1st, 2026, will result in forfeiture of 66% of the full trip cost per person.
Cancellations received after July 24, 2026, will necessitate forfeiture of the full trip cost per person.
By signing and returning this Reservation Form, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions as indicated. You
specifically waive any claims of action against AFSF, its Board of Directors, its staff, and its representatives, as well as against the
Organizers in case of any loss of property, accident, or injury in connection with this program.
You also accept that you are responsible for any travel visa / permit that might be required by you to allow you to travel to France and
for return to the United States.
